The latest single from Deja Blu is the excellent ‘Crash’. The dream pop duo have crafted a transcendent world using the production skill of Benji O’Dell to form a distant, reverb-soaked soundscape, and the voice of Jasmine Reed to provide airy, effortless melodies. They describe the track, as “cathartic to make/write. It was an outpouring of everything. Probably the most vulnerable I’ve been when songwriting. I/we see it as the complete destruction of something. You never believed it could happen, but now in retrospect, it was always destined to be.” The track is accompanied by an ambitious, expertly edited video filled with colour and vision.
